We charge this to cover the cost of compensating doctors for their expertise and training, staff wages, medical consumables and equipment, and other expenses (such as internet, phones, insurance and electricity). Q: How long is the first appointment?
In order to provide the most comprehensive medical treatment, your first visit will include registration, preliminary history and medical measurements along with a minimum of 30 minutes consultation with your doctor to ensure all of your current health needs are understood and your future health needs are met.
Q: Who performs my treatment?
Treatment is provided by Dr Daryl Dodt and the treatment team, honed to your health needs. All treatment is under the direct instruction of your doctor and you can rest assured that the team that provides your care needs are co-ordinated and working toward your optimum health needs.
Q: How is your practice going to benefit me and my family?
From birth to geriatric care, our practice provides expert care and risk prevention management to every age group. We understand that all families have challenges and strengths and it is our mission to support and enhance the health of every member of the family.
Q: Do you prescribe medicinal cannabis?
We provide a multidiciplinary approach to your health care. We can arrange appointments with pain specialists, neurosurgeons etc and manage pain through provision of physiotherapy, osteopathy, chiropractic and a variety of other allied health referrals under Medicare. We strive for maximised function and quality of life through consideration of all medical and allied health treatments. We prescribe and supply (through third party suppliers) the option of medicinal cannabis when other therapies and treatments have been found to be ineffective or inappropriate. Studies have demonstrated that medicinal cannabis may be beneficial in the treatment of chronic pain, palliative care, chemotherapy induced nausea and vomitting (CINV), multiple sclerosis and epilepsy. You may need a referral from your usual GP if you wish to consider medicinal cannabis treatment.
